
Get Involved! Please email or call a NAPS board member or committee chair (see "contact" list) to ask how you can help, whether on a regular basis or for a single event or project.
NAPS Board of Directors Liaison – Help steer NAPS and coordinate its efforts with those of other local organizations.
Education Committee Chair/Member – Work with students and school administrators on various educational projects, and award NAPS scholarships to graduating seniors.
Nominating Committee Chair/Member – Identify qualified persons for NAPS Board seats, and for the annual NAPS Distinguished Citizen Award.
Webmaster/Assistant Webmaster – Use your web development skills to manage the NAPS website (napsva.org).
Events Booth Chair/Crew – Spend an hour tending the NAPS Booth at Farmers Markets, festivals, and other events, or help with set-up or breakdown. Two members tend the booth for hour-long shifts, staggered each half-hour so you work with 2 different people during your shift.
Fall Social Chair/Crew – Help plan and throw the annual party for NAPS members.
Communications/Publicity – Write articles for NAPS News in your area of expertise, report on issues, or write and publish press releases for print and radio.
Adopt-A-Highway Crew Member – Help clean up NAPS’ adopted stretch of Rte. 200.
County Boards Monitor – Attend meetings to monitor legislation and action on bay and county issues.
Membership Committee Member – Help organize member participation, or stuff envelopes at a “work party.”
Special Projects – Be on call to assist with other worthwhile activities when they arise.
