The Northumberland Assn. for Progressive Stewardship (NAPS) will be hosting the 8th. Annual Earth Day Festival in "downtown" Heathsville in conjunction with the season’s first Farmer’s Market – Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with dozens of environmental exhibits and activities set up by NAPS and other local organizations.

Environmental exhibitors have been a key attraction of the Earth Day Festival. This year the emphasis will be on active demonstrations to attract, entertain, and educate visitors.

NAPS will again have its "Earth Day Pledge Tree" and will be giving away free reusable grocery bags to anyone who promises to do something new to help the environment this year. NAPS also plans to again have an “All-Electric Vehicle” exhibit and solar energy displays with experts on hand. Check NAPSva.org for updates.
