The NAPS Scholarships were presented by Martha Tallent, Chair of the NAPS Scholarship Committee, and NAPS president Mike Ahart. Of the 17 scholarship applicants, 11 were interviewed by the committee. “It was very difficult to decide among the applicants…so many skills, so many strengths and such academic achievement. How proud I am to be in a county with such high-caliber students,” said Tallent

NAPS Scholarship Committee members include Wonda Allain, Ian Brownlee, Roger Gruben, Nancy Millar, Ralph Millar, LaVar Rich, Alice Stieve, Keese Williams, and Tallent. Selection of awardees was based on a combination of environmental and community service, academic achievement, college interest, and need.
