Looks like nice weather for tomorrow's Earth Day Festival/Farmers Market/Wine & Beer Fest tomorrow, at least until later in the afternoon. Please stop by the NAPS Tent and say hello! If you'd like to spend a little time at the tent meeting NAPS members and other members of the community, or if you have an electric vehicle you'd like to show off, please email stewardship@napsva.org ASAP and we'll get you instructions.
Congratulations to NAPS' Andy Sitison and Mike Ahart for being named Volunteer River Counties "Volunteers of the Month!" Many thanks to Chris Wright of 101.7 BAY FM and Bill Michaels of 104.9 WIGO Country for the on-air interviews Monday morning! Watch the video of the 101.7 BAY FM interview here or on Facebook. On a related note, Andy was also named VIMS "Volunteer of the Year!"
And if you know someone who would like to help preserve the beauty of our county and keep litter from harming our wildlife and waterways, the NAPS Spring Highway Cleanup takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. and usually takes about an hour and a half. Volunteers will meet at the parking lot behind Wicomico Parish Church and be assigned to a team to cover a section of rte. 200. Please register today!
And don't forget to put the St. Stephen's Strawberry Festival on your calendar, Sat. May 23, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Be sure to visit the NAPS Tent, or join us for an hour or so!
